This model is recommended for those looking for a unit for surveying and light milling projects. Like all Schick milling units it is fully upgradeable and accepts most accessories, it is even possible to upgrade this model to make it a ceramic milling unit.
 
The S1-Junior basic milling unit is a simple milling unit, but comes with the capability to upgrade to a combination milling unit or even to a ceramic milling unit. The S1-Junior basic is the same unit as the S1-Junior Combination Unit, withou the milling spindle and motor. Recommended for those looking for surveying, transferring or milling the S1-Junior basic unit is the entry level into Schick Dental's milling systems. It offers the ability to use an existing handpiece for milling jobs by utilizing adapter sleeves to hold your handpiece in place.
